| Martin Hassel is a senior researcher at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV), Stockholm University and KTH - Royal Institute of Technology. Hassel's main expertise lies in efficient and flexible models of language use. These models have proven their mettle in an array of natural language processing and information extraction tasks. In 2007 this research resulted in the thesis "Resource Lean and Portable Automatic Text Summarization". Currently Hassel's main interest is in medical informatics, in particular modelling and mining of electronic health records from an information extraction perspective. Hassel continuously disseminates his research at international conferences as well as in book chapters. Hassel also supervises master students at Stockholm University and KTH, mainly in the field of language technology. In addition, Hassel co-supervises a PhD student and is as such affiliated with the Swedish National Graduate School of Language Technology (GSLT). |
